Why does my EAN-13 or UPC barcode show an error?

These formats only accept digits: EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 numbers and UPC-A needs 11 or 12 numbers. Letters, spaces, or the wrong digit count will be rejected. Use CODE128 if you need to encode general text.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The barcode is rendered entirely in your browser using a canvas, and the PNG is generated locally. Nothing you type is sent to a server.
