Frequently asked questions
- How accurate is it?
- It measures real throughput against Cloudflare's global network — the edge server nearest you — so results are close to tools like Ookla/Speedtest. Numbers still vary with Wi-Fi, device and momentary network conditions.
- Why is my result different from my plan's speed?
- Wi-Fi, distance from the router, other devices, your device's hardware and your VPN can all reduce measured speed. For the highest number, test on a wired connection close to the router.
- Does it use a lot of data?
- A full test transfers a few hundred MB. On a metered or mobile connection, keep that in mind.
